Biography

Horacio is the regional managing director of Business Development and head of our office in Montevideo. He also jointly heads our Latin American practice with Maria Pia Buchi, working closely with our fiduciary and legal teams to provide market-leading services to Latin American clients across investment funds, private wealth, corporate, M&A, and banking & finance.

Horacio has more than 15 years of experience working with high-net-worth individuals and companies specialising in the development of trusts, estate and private wealth solutions across Latin America. His current practice encompasses the structuring of investment funds, trusts, pension and employee benefit schemes, as well as the structuring of all types of finance and corporate transactions. He also has extensive experience in the structuring of tax and succession planning solutions for high-net-worth individuals and their families across Latin America.

Horacio spent three years in our BVI office before relocating to Uruguay to open the firm’s Montevideo office in 2010. Prior to joining us, Horacio led the Latin America operations of a leading international trust company in the BVI. There he served as head of the Latin American Division and provided a wide range of corporate and fiduciary services to wealthy individuals, multinational corporations, banks, financial institutions, law firms and asset management firms. Before that, he practiced in the Buenos Aires office of one of the largest law firms in Argentina for five years.

He is fluent in English, Spanish and transactional Portuguese.
