Biography

Kelly is a deputy general counsel for Asia in Harneys Fiduciary and she is based out of our Hong Kong office. She is responsible for providing legal support and advice on regulatory, contractual and corporate governance matters to the fiduciary offices and their respective teams.

Kelly has extensive experience advising corporates, funds and banks in a wide range of cross-border syndicated and structured financings including corporate loans, pre-IPO financing, equity-backed financing, asset-based loans, real estate, structured trade and other financing transactions. Additionally, she is well versed in fiduciary work and has particular exposure in providing legal advice and transaction support to a global bank on a variety of loans, bonds and securities services related matters.

Before joining Harneys Fiduciary, she was a solicitor at Allen & Overy’s Hong Kong and Beijing offices specialising in cross-border and international merger and acquisition, private equity and venture capital investments, restructuring, general corporate and commercial advisory matters.

Kelly holds a Master of Laws with the University College London, a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce with the University of Sydney. She is admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong and England and Wales. She is also an affiliate member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and an associate member of CPA Australia.

Kelly is fluent in English, Cantonese, Mandarin and speaks conversational Shanghainese.
